Happy Thursday, 11th graders!
Today we will go over exhibitions expectations a little more and you will get some time to work on your presentation. Also, your cover letters should be revised and ready to read. I will be going over these this weekend.
1. Internship True/False and Parent Consent Letter.
Warm up: Internship true/false
Parent Consent Letter: I printed this letter out for everyone. It is due TUESDAY, APRIL 17 with your parent's signature.
2. ACT Scores.
I have these! And will hand them out to you at the beginning of class.
3. Exhibition Expectations.
Choose one assignment/project/experience from this school year that you are particularly proud of and that helped foster new academic/personal growth. Think of something that stretched you further than you're usually comfortable going, challenged you, made you think, but that you ultimately survived and came out proud.
Expectations:
* Select one work sample and connect it with one-three of the 21st Century Skills. Make a meaningful connection! You are juniors now, go above the surface level and show 9th and 10th graders how it's done.
* Teach the audience something. Show off your own learning by sharing the knowledge.
* Be creative with your five minutes of fame! It's only five minutes. Make it count.
* Practice!
* Be authentic when speaking about your learning. No robot voice.
* Talk about the process and the challenges more than the final product itself.
* Dress and act professionally.
4. Practice Presentations.
Use the rest of class time to work on your exhibition presentation. Maybe we can even see one or two practice presentations!
TUESDAY: Bring your signed parent consent letter.
